Super Village is in post production and specifically the rough cut phase. Production ended in February of 2024 and the co-directors have been editing on nights and weekends throughout the rest of 2024. Through the roughcut process we have been selectively sharing with colleagues in the documentary world to get input and critiques. We have specifically been adding new people to the process as with new cuts so that we are regularly getting fresh eyes on the project. Both co-directors have day jobs as assistant editors in documentary work ensuring we have been using industry standard workflows and guaranteeing a smooth handoff to the finishing editor. 

Once finishing funds have been secured a story producer will be hired through the final two months of editing. The first month is working with Co-directors Cynthia and Kyle to get the film to a fine cut, after that one more month is needed with a finishing editor to get fresh eyes on the project. The finishing editor will be fluent in Mandarin guaranteeing no time is lost due to language/cultural differences. Color and sound design can both be completed in a week from when they start and music composition will be completed with the finishing editor while getting the film to picture lock.With the first half of 2025 devoted to fundraising the goal is for the second half of 2025 will be spent completing the film for a 2026 festival run and future distribution.
